Where is a good place to buy a car?

Ester Bryand: btw.. I know there are used car dealerships but dont know how to make sure im making a good buy nor do I know what car to get, im not that picky about what make and model as long as its not too old and it runs goodI live in the maryland d.c area

Wilfred Santacruce: You have to do some preparation and research or you are almost certain to make a bad deal.I've been in the car business for over 10 years and I see it every day. Someone comes in without being prepared and:a) Pays more than they should have because they didn't research pricesb) Get's "sold" a car that isn't right for them because they hadn't narrowed their searchc) Both a & bYou have to get online and look at vehicles that fit your needs and are in your price range. Here's what I suggest:1) First you have to determine how much is the absolute most you can spend no matter what2) Go to edmunds.com and kbb.com and start making a list of all the cars that fit your general needs3) Then, if your bu! ying used, you have to decide how old of a car you're willing to buy4) Then, if your buying used you have to decide the maximum mileage on the car is ok 5) Then do a consumer report search on all cars on your list and mark off the ones with bad reviews5) Go to Autotrader.com, search your state for each model and write down the low & average priceYour goal should be when you leave to look at cars, you should have 3 models or less on your list and a good idea of what a low and average price is for each depending on the year and mileage.Once you have this list, stick to it! If a dealer doesn't have what you're looking for it is their JOB to get you to buy something else. Don't do it! If you DO find something you like that wasn't on your list, you can always go home and research what others with similar miles are selling for. NEVER buy something that you haven't done research on, you WILL pay too much and once you buy it it's your's, game over.Good Luck! Hope this helps...Show! more

Delora Struzzi: Go to a reliable dealer. Make sure! it has new cars too like this one:http://www.alexandria.subaru.com/index.htmYou can find a good used car.

Lia Argall: well the best place ... AGENCY of cars like toyota , chevy etc..Can you help me with this:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201004...

Darrel Stele: Go to a reputable bigger type dealer, they have more room to negotiate the price of a car. Before you buy a car do research on it to find out what it is worth with the options and you have to haggle the price if you dont want to pay that much , i mean what they are asking. The little mom and pa dealers there is not much room for haggling. Plus the mom and pa dealers in ILL are a bunch of cars with alot of miles and want to much $$$.
