LCD-LED vs LED TV confusion?

Becky Mosena: An LED is basically an LCD, with a different type of backlighting, and slimmer, and usually more expensive. I would not buy Sony... (Few features compared to Samsung and others, and you pay more for the name.)

Any set sold as LED, is an LCD TV which uses LEDs for backlighting, rather than Fluorescent tubes LCD TVs traditionally have used. Marcel Then: No, there is a quite difference between LCD TV and LED TV. LED TV gives better graphics then LCD TV but you forget one thing that you can should Google TV with purchasing LCD/LED TV. Google TV gives extra advantages then simple TV. You can do web ! browsing in yours TV screen. It can support Bluetooth data transmit. You can also watch videos, movies, you tube, twitter etc. on yours television screen. I think you have an exiting opportunity to buy Google TV with purchasing LCD/LED TV. Randa Hessell: LCD led tv means the screen is gonna be plastic like an LCD but have led colors and a led tv is glass like a plasma so led is better than an LCD led tv
